E-Mail Lists

Mission/Observatory E-mail Lists

Many space science missions and ground observatories offer e-mail new services as a quick and convenient way to keep you up to date on the status of their project. We've compiled a short list of the URLs where you can go to sign up for these lists. Some pages feature forms which you fill-in and simply hit the "Submit" button to subscribe. Other pages will include instructions on where to send an e-mail in order to subscribe. Most also include instructions on how to remove yourself from the list.

Some lists are very active (weekly) and others monthly, while some only send an e-mail to announce a major finding. This is by no means a comprehensive list, so if you find one that is not shown below, use our contact form to let us know.

Sky & Telescope's AstroAlert News Service

The AstroAlert News Service was designed to provide timely information about rare or temporary events. To receive announcements about any of these objects or events send an e-mail to any or all of the addresses below and type "subscribe" in the body of the message.  To get off of the distribution list type "unsubscribe". For more information about the service see the August 1999 issue of Sky & Telescope, page 34.
