BAS \nmembers detail first-had experience and preparation for a solar eclipse.\n Topics of discussion will be:\n-what to expect -what NOT to do -where to go -how to photograph the eclipse -how to video the eclipse\nThe program will be in the Rec Hall starting at 9:00 pm, regardless \nof the weather. We should have free eclipse glasses to hand out! \nThe star party starts at 8:30 pm and should last until 11:30 or so \n(we'll stay as long as people want to look into our telescopes or the \nRangers kick us out ;) - weather permitting. You do not need to bring a\n telescope (we will provide them), but if you want to bring your own or \nneed help figuring out how to use yours, by all means bring it!\nDirections\nFrom TN HWY 153, take TN HWY 58 North towards Decatur, TN. Travel 8.3\n miles to Harrison Bay Road; turn left. There is a pretty big sign for \nthe park. On Harrison Bay Road, travel approximately 1.5 miles to the \nmain park entrance on the left - turn left. Stay to the right at the \nfork in the road and continue about 0.5 miles. Parking will be available\n around the Recreation Hall.\nThe observation field will be in the large parking area next to the Recreation Hall.
