The four Galilean Moons are visible in any telescope as Jupiter is riding high in the evening sky right now. Watching them orbit the giant gas planet is fun, but knowing the "back story" of how they got their names makes it even more interesting! And Tom really knows how to tell the stories!Note, though, that even though this is about mythology, art, and literature, that there are scenes and themes that may not be suitable for younger children. We'll put this one at PG-13 to slightly R-ish, so use discretion if you want to bring younger folks... Those ancient Greek gods got up to a lot of shenanigans...BAS Programs and Meetings are free and open to anyone who has an interest in the sky! All are welcome!
