BAS members detail first-had experience and preparation for a solar eclipse. Topics of discussion will be:-what to expect-what NOT to do-where to go-how to photograph the eclipse-how to video the eclipseThe program will be in the Rec Hall starting at 9:00 pm, regardless of the weather.The star party starts at 9:00 pm and should last until 11 or so (we'll stay as long as people want to look into our telescopes or the Rangers kick us out ;) - weather permitting. Watch Facebook for updates the day of the Party.This event is FREE and everyone is welcome! You do not need to bring a telescope (we will provide them), but if you want to bring your own or need help figuring out how to use yours, by all means bring it!DirectionsFrom TN HWY 153, take TN HWY 58 North towards Decatur, TN. Travel 8.3 miles to Harrison Bay Road; turn left. There is a pretty big sign for the park. On Harrison Bay Road, travel approximately 1.5 miles to the main park entrance on the left - turn left. Stay to the right at the fork in the road and continue about 0.5 miles. Parking will be available around the Recreation Hall.The observation field will be in the large parking area next to the Recreation Hall. Come and enjoy the sky!
