The Astronomical League, of which the Barnard Astronomical Society is a member, provides observing club awards to members to recognize their achievements. The following awards/pins have been awarded to BAS members.
Messier Club
The Messier Club pin is awarded to members who have observed at least 70 and in many cases all 110 Messier Objects, recorded their observations and then submitted their records for review. More information can be found here.
