Join us this month as we review the BAS August outreach events and get a brief update from those who recently went to Marathon, TX.

We have a very busy outreach schedule this month – August 11 with the Tennessee Tree Toppers, August 12 at Harrison Bay State Park, and August 24 at Outdoor Chattanooga.

The Clarence Jones Observatory is off of Brainerd Road behind Brainerd Methodist Church. Map apps will put it on Tuxedo Ave, but that is not really the best way in. The best way is to turn into the Brainerd Methodist Church parking lot and go up the hill to the upper lot and park there. Then walk up the short roadway by the cemetery (don’t worry, they’re friendly folks) to the back entrance of the observatory on the left. Can’t miss the brand-new concrete ramp into the building!
