Please join us at the Disc Golf parking area for an evening of astronomical observations with visual telescopes, Electronically Assisted scopes and monitors, and just looking up with our eyes!

Family-friendly, accessible, and guaranteed awesome! You do not need a telescope – the BAS will provide everything!

Note: BAS events are free to all, but Cloudland Canyon requires a $5.00 parking fee per vehicle.

Basic information for the September 7, 2024, Cloudland Canyon Star Party:

• Sunset: 7:58 pm
• Moon: Waxing crescent, 15% – should be pretty!
• Set-Up: 6:30-7:30 pm
• Guest Arrival: 7:30 pm
• Deep Sky: Lots of summer targets with gorgeous Moon early.
• Planets: None.

The nature of these events means they are weather-dependent. Updates posted between 2:00 and 3:00 pm.
