Are you thinking of purchasing a telescope or binoculars for yourself or a would-be astronomer? If so, please…
Join members of the Barnard Astronomical Society of Chattanooga at the Phillip Grymes Outdoor Chattanooga Center in Coolidge for any of the three thirty-minute presentations (6pm, 7pm, and 8pm – identical presentation) on basic telescope and sky observing (binoculars) equipment. The purpose of this quick class will be to instruct the future stargazer on the basics of telescope use and aid in the purchasing of sound equipment. In addition to the class, a demonstration of equipment will be available in the parking lot of the Phillip Grymes Outdoor Chattanooga Center in Coolidge Park.
The presentation and demonstration are free. The class is rain or shine, but as always, the outdoors demonstration will be weather permitting. In January, the Barnard Astronomical Society of Chattanooga will host the annual “NEW TELESCOPE WORKSHOP” for anyone who does purchase equipment and would like our expertise in assembling for the first time.
