UPDATE 9/2/23 1:30 pm: Folks, everything looks great for stargazing tonight at Cloudland! Remember, there is a $5.00 parking fee imposed by the park, but the event is free and yes, it is kid-friendly. We hope to see you this evening. Saturn has returned to the evening sky – if you have not seen it through a nice telescope you don’t want to miss that! This will be the only update for this event.

Come join the BAS for our monthly Star Party at Cloudland Canyon State Park on Saturday, September 2. We will be setting up at the Disc Golf parking area. We will have a variety of telescopes and observing opportunities.

Please understand that these events are entirely at the mercy of the weather, over which we have little control. We will post updates on Saturday afternoon with information and whether or not we may have to cancel.

From the main park entrance, go about a mile or so to the 4-way stop. At the 4-way stop, turn right. After a bit, the pavement takes a left with some gravel ahead – go left to the top of the hill and you will see us up there!
