UPDATE 1:00 pm 6/8/24: OK Folks – this is one of those weather situations that can go a number of ways. We are going ahead with tonight’s Star Party, and it may be clear, cloudy or something in between. In any event, it isn’t supposed to rain so there is that… Come on out and let’s see what we get! You never know if you don’t go!
Remember, you don’t need a telescope or anything (if you have binoculars those are fun!) – we have the gear. If the sky is not cooperative, we’ll be happy to talk about gear (we love doing that!), answer questions, etc. It will be wonderful evening regardless. And that big hole in the clouds might just park itself on top of us for a few hours!
Please join us at the Rec Hall parking area for an evening of astronomical observations with visual telescopes, Electronically-Assisted scopes and monitors, and just looking up with our eyes!
Family-friendly, accessible, and guaranteed awesome!
Note: BAS events are free to all.
