New Telescope Workshop

January 20 @ 3:00 pm6:00 pm

Get a new telescope for Christmas? Maybe you’ve had a scope for a while? Not quite sure how to set it up and use it?

Never fear – the Barnard Astronomical Society has you covered!

Bring your scope and gear to the Philip Grymes Center (Chattanooga Outdoors) and our seasoned observers will get you started off right! We will teach you about your scope, show you how to set the scope up properly, teach you how to align the finder, and give you advice on getting the most out of your gear. Manuals and YouTube videos are great, but there is no substitute for in-person hands-on help!

This event is absolutely free of charge (except maybe parking…) and we would love to get you started on a lifelong love of observing.
