UPDATE 1/13/24 1:00 pm: We are a GO! for tonight’s star party! Looks like it is going to be a beautiful star gazing evening.

Please be aware that it will be cold, so dress in layers and do what you need to do to stay warm. It is in the nature of star parties to spend a lot of time standing around, so be over-prepared for the chill!

Come join the BAS for our monthly Star Party at Harrison Bay State Park on Saturday, January 13. We will be setting up in the Recreation Hall parking lot. We will have a variety of telescopes and observing opportunities. It may be cold, but there are a LOT of exciting things to observe!

Remember – there is no charge for BAS star parties and no fees at Harrison Bay!

Please understand that these events are entirely at the mercy of the weather, over which we have little control. We will post updates on Saturday afternoon with information and whether or not we may have to cancel, so be sure to check back after 2:00 pm.
